The electro-jazz, hip-hop duo unveils the first single/music video of their new EP of the same name, Goldress, expected on 7 February 2020.
Born in Rwanda, the two brothers grew up in Uganda before settling in the suburbs of Brussels, where they created and developed the YellowStraps project on their own, combining their neo-soul, modern jazz and downtempo influences.
Truly transcending soul and electronic, YellowStraps ability to appeal to fans of both genres allows the duo to carve their own path. Many elements like drum gooves, warm beats and harmonies are found in the brothers’ music and it’s clear that they stick by their ideology of continually challenging themselves.
After 2016 Mellow EP co-produced by Le Motel and 2018 sophomore EP Blame, YellowStraps will return with a brand new EP titled “Goldress”. The eponymous first single track just came out with its music video above. Their artistic identity is further clarified on this delightful R&B track with electro influences brought by their friend and close collaborator, the Dutch producer Vynk.
